Placement

Students graduating from the ATM program at the School of Mines have pursued careers as meteorologists, research scientists, and educators in the fields of meteorology, earth sciences, computational studies, and scientific visualization of the earth system. They are hired by the National Weather Service, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Geological Survey, and private industry. Many also continue their education to the doctoral level, completing specialized areas of research during this time.
