Financial Support

The CBE department continues to provide GTA and GRA support for graduate students. The new Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering has stipends that are very competitive.

Lori Groven, a Ph.D.graduate student in the Nanoscience and Nanoengineering program, is the recipient of a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship for her proposal, “Combustion Synthesis of Carbon Nanotube Reinforced Nanostructured Materials.” This fellowship is awarded to only approximately 1,000 students in the US and provides for three years of support.  Lori works with Dr. Puszynski.
